EPA is the acronym for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ( u.senvironmental protectionagency ). Its main task is to protect the country's health and the natural environment, air, water and land, the ecological environment on which we depend. epa certification is mainly aimed at environmental certification of emission performance. epa tests the engine emissions of locomotives and confirms whether they meet the low benchmarks for environmental protection based on the car's use performance and emission values.
How does the U.S. EPA registration regulate products?
Although EPA does not require the validity report of the product, EPA will check the label of the product periodically, so the manufacturer needs to design the label according to EPA's requirements. In addition EPA also requires the applicant to complete a sales report for the previous year 30 days after obtaining the registration code, and from the second year onwards, the annual report needs to be completed by March each year.
EPA certification control of electrical products and equipment include.
1, agricultural, industrial use of various types of gasoline / diesel engine power equipment, such as lawn mowers, excavators and other equipment.
2, lifts, generator sets.
3, aviation, shipping, military and other equipment.
4, road transport, such as cars, motorcycles, etc..
5, gas, water treatment equipment.
6, drinking water, pesticides and other control.
Huang oxygen disinfector, UV disinfection lamp, UV water filter, UV air filter, UV mosquito lamp, ultrasonic insect repellent equipment, UV disinfector, high-frequency bird repeller, electronic rodent repeller, air sterilization and purification equipment and pest control appliances and other physical functions to achieve disinfection, kill in the equipment, the manufacturers of these products also need to apply to the EPA and complete business registration, to obtain the EPA Manufacturer Establishment Number ( Establishment Number), and provide export reports and subsequent annual reports.
Note: Any anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-germ, or other neutralizer claims (such as dry disinfection, insecticide, allergen removal, or germ prevention)
EPA Certified Regulatory Products
Although the EPA does not require product effectiveness reports, the EPA regularly checks product labels, so manufacturers need to follow the EPA's requirements for labeling. In addition EPA also requires applicants to complete the previous year's sales report 30 days after obtaining the registration code, and from the second year onwards, the annual report needs to be completed by March each year. The majority of Amazon users note that if the product has not obtained the EPA registration code, Amazon U.S. site is not allowed to product shelves. Therefore, the majority of customers need to advance the EPA registration, to prevent the product can not be normal sales.

2, factory certification contact person
3、Prepare product information, certification consultation material (need to certify customer cooperation)
4、Submit the application information
For non-device products also need to submit the following information - product data composition formula product label
EPA testing and certification process
1、Apply to EPA for manufacturer code
2、Prepare production information
3. Emission testing in the laboratory to prove compliance with emission standards
4. The manufacturer cooperates to provide information and we are responsible for preparing a complete certification application
5. Submit certification application and test data like EPA
6. EPA reviews the information (during the review process, EPA will decide whether additional information is needed based on the information and test data provided, and whether confirmatory testing is required)
7. Review and pass, issue the certificate (EPA certificate is an annual certificate, the certificate expires at the end of the generation or December 31 of the specific style year, the specific expiration date is the earlier of the two dates of arrival.
How long is the EPA registration valid?
FPA registration does not have a clear expiration date, each year on time to submit the annual production report, the authorized U.S. agent has been legally valid, then the FPA registration is - always valid
EPA certification audit process cycle.
EPA certification takes 2-4 weeks, normally 3 weeks, to review the submitted materials and determine if they meet its requirements. As part of the review process, EPA Certification will determine if additional information is needed and/or if confirmatory testing is required. During this process, if there are questions or additional information needs to be submitted, the EPA certification party will contact the factory contact person and the process will take longer.
Can EPA registered manufacturers apply on their own?
EPA registration must be applied by local residents or companies in the U.S. For all companies outside the U.S., they cannot apply directly. Therefore, like our Chinese manufacturers, the application must be entrusted to a U.S. agent, who must be an individual with permanent residency in the U.S. or an authorized agent of the FPA.
EPA Certification Notice.
If the EPA certification requirements are met, the EPA will issue a Notice of Compliance. Once the FPA certification determines that the regulatory requirements are met, a Notice of Compliance will be issued to the requesting company, with the effective date listed on the Notice being the date the covered product can be introduced into commerce. The notification expires at the end of production or on December 31 of the specified type year, depending on which date is earlier. In most cases, the effective date of the notification is the date of issuance of the certificate.
The EPA identification number includes the EPA Registration Number (Reaistration Number) and the EPAT plant number (Establishment Number).
The EPA registration number and the T-factory number are required for all products.
