Battery Testing

The battery laboratory of Shenzhen LCS Testing Co., Ltd. was established according to ISO/IEC 17025 & 17020 quality management system, and has been accredited by CNAS, CMA, CBTL, KC, etc. The scope of testing now covers various types and applications of lithium batteries, NiMH batteries, NiCd batteries, lead-acid batteries, alkaline batteries and non-rechargeable batteries, etc. LCS The battery team can now provide global certification and commissioning testing services for customers around the world, helping customers' battery products break through technical trade barriers and smoothly enter various global markets.

Battery testing items

Environmental testing: low air pressure, temperature cycling, thermal abuse, combustion testing

Mechanical testing: vibration, mechanical shock, free fall, 250N pressure, extrusion, heavy impact, pinprick, forced internal battery

Electrical test: overcharge, abnormal charge, over discharge, forced discharge, high rate charge, external short circuit, restricted power

Performance test: rated capacity, discharge performance, endurance life, charge retention and recovery, internal resistance

Others: electrostatic discharge test, electromagnetic compatibility test, battery material analysis

Introduction to Battery Certification

With the development of electronic, information and communication products towards wireless and portable direction, the high-performance components of the products are also moving towards the goal of light, thin, short and small, and batteries are widely used as the best power supply. At the same time, market surveillance agencies in various countries have increased their supervision of battery products, making domestic battery manufacturers face the challenge of improving product quality.

UN38.3 test for lithium batteries and 1.2m drop test for packaging parts:

UN38.3 refers to section 38.3 of the Manual of Tests and Criteria prepared by the United Nations Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (Manual of Tests and Criteria) on the testing of lithium batteries, finished lithium batteries or equipment containing lithium batteries must first complete the tests specified in section 38.3 (unless there is an approval document from the competent authority of the country of origin to be exempted). (unless exempted by the competent authority of the country of origin), lithium batteries shipped separately by air or packaged with equipment must also undergo a 1.2m drop test on the package.

Note: If you need to return the sample, please make sure to clearly indicate it in the relevant position when you apply for the commission, otherwise, all samples will be treated as non-returnable by our center.

Vibration, differential pressure and 55℃ leakage test for lead-acid batteries:

Vibration, differential pressure and 55℃ leakage tests are a series of tests for lead-acid batteries in transportation conditions. According to the "Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods <Model Regulations>" prepared by the United Nations Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, under general circumstances lead-acid batteries containing electrolyte without any test, transport identification as Class 8 dangerous goods, UN No. 2794; if the lead-acid batteries pass the vibration and differential pressure tests, or fail to carry out or pass the 55℃ leakage test, transport identification as Class 8 dangerous goods UN No. 2800; if the lead-acid battery passes the three tests in turn, it is identified as unrestricted articles.
