U.S. Energy Efficiency DOE Certi

I. What is DOE Introduction

The U.S. federal regulations (10 CFR 430) have specified that all external power supplies entering the U.S. market should meet the minimum energy efficiency class: level IV and be clearly marked on the product. In addition, it is mandatory for manufacturers and brand owners to submit two important declarations to DOE. The first is a compliance statement that the product meets federal regulations on energy efficiency, and the second is a First Certification Report, both of which must be delivered by mail to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE, Department of Energy).

The documents must be prepared in accordance with the format published by DOE, and the First Certification Report may be submitted by a third party on behalf of the manufacturer/brand. The information reported on the document should cover the product class, manufacturer/brand name, efficiency (%), power consumption without load (W) and rated output power (W) of each single model.

Second, DOE standards based on:

U.S. federal regulations: 10CFR429 and 10CFR430.

Which 10CFR429 provides for the sample selection specifications and reporting specifications;

10CFR430 provides test methods and compliance with the declaration of conformity specifications

DOE is a requirement of the U.S. Department of Energy, there is no certification mark, but sales to the United States must meet the minimum requirements of the Department of Energy, so to apply for DOE.

What information do you need to prepare for US DOE.

1. 2-3 samples

2. Product technical documents

3. Product nameplate

4. Application form for certification (provided by our company, to be filled by your company)

U.S. DOE cycle.

Test products without any problems, registration are audited, about 2-3 weeks, special circumstances special treatment

U.S. DOC cost: according to the product offer

U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) for the 2016 for external power supply (EPS) energy efficiency requirements Level VI exclusion description of the U.S. Department of Energy (DoE, Department of Energy) under the Energy Policy Administration Act (EnergyPolicy and Conservation Act of 1975 (EPCA) The Department of Energy (DoE, Department of Energy), in accordance with the Energy Policy Conservation Act of 1975 (EPCA), requires external power supplies (EPS Externalpower supply) sold in the United States to pass at least Level VI energy efficiency requirements as of February 10, 2016, unless the following exclusions are met:

1. Class A EPS (Level V) that meet all of the following conditions may be exempt from compliance:

a) Manufactured between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2015.

b) Made as an accessory to an end product and manufactured before July 1, 2008. 2.

2. EPS that meet the following requirements may not meet Level VI no-load consumption (0.1W, 0.21W or 0.5W) until July 1, 2017:

a) The product is an AC-to-AC EPS.

b) Exceeds 20W or more.

c) Products that are designed to be connected to security, alarm, and life support systems. 3.

3) Comply with the U.S. Health and Food Safety Administration's medical EPS.

4. AC-DC EPS may be disregarded if they meet the following conditions:

a) Direct operation AC-DC EPS with output voltage (nameplate outputvoltage) less than 3V and output current greater than 1000mA (nameplateoutput current) and used to charge batteries or drive motors.

DOE regulates many appliances and consumer electronics, including EPS, televisions, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machine cloth, home heating equipment, microwave ovens, battery chargers, ceiling fan light kits, fluorescent lamp ballasts, etc.
